Artist Statement
I have always taken pictures.
Born into a Magnum Photos photographic family, seeing the three-dimensional world thought the lens of one two-dimensional frozen frame was a part of my life.
My current exploration involves stickers, bits of paint and the like left on lamp posts, doors and windows. Emphasis is placed on those things that may be too small to recognize, chance images that appear as the paper ages or is torn away, or where negative and positive space create surprising faces oft times seemingly violent and dark.
I take these traces, ones we have to stop to see, hidden and small elements and present them with an amplified perspective.
