Artist Statement
Self-taught.. connected to the images in nature. My assemblages are created from found objects around NYC and environs. My being given The Sculpture Puzzle Artist title, awarded from my TOAST(Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour) participation in 2004.
My work is all about balance, with no permanent fixatives. Honored by the Museum of Natural History as curator and artist in “From Trash to Art” exposition. I began as a pastel artist. Explosive Color abstracts that move vibrantly..giving the piece life. Then the assemblage era transformed my World into seeing the images in nature, metal, wood.. any detritus found. My artist eye enchants my spirit and I create work unlike others.
Recently, I’ve evolved into creating environments..installations. Active for the last 25 years in NYC art world ..now living in Hudson. Excited to bring my work to another world of art and an incredible Community.
