Artist Statement
Kaylee Warren is a visual artist whose work contemplates wonder as a conduit for recovery. She considers natural landscapes and interior spaces of possibility, such as circus, theatre, the home, and the self as sites capable of producing metamorphic awe. Through saturated, light-extracting color, unusual implementations of whimsy, and contrasting rough and aqueous line work, her practice reflects on the delight to be found on the journey of recovery.
